Everything, Everywhere Point of Care™

How to:

1. Review the Location configuration record in QML.

    1. Select the Location icon from the General tab.
    2. Double click on the specific Location in the summary view.
    3. Confirm the Time Zone is configured correctly.
    4. Confirm the Performer ID is populated correctly if this field is used.
    5. If the Interface Profile ID and Host Translation ID fields are populated, confirm they are correct.
    6. Confirm the Host Location is populated correctly if this field is used.
    7. Open the Device Type Feature Assignment configuration and confirm all applicable device type features appear in the Selected window.
    8. Save changes to the Location configuration record.

2. Confirm the operator list if applicable for the device.

    1. Select Testing Privileges View in the Lists section from the Operators tab.
    2. Build a Filter for the Device Type.
    3. Click on the Location column header to sort the data.
    4. Scroll down the page if necessary to find the rows for this Location.
    5. Confirm that all operators you expect to be sent to the device appear in the list with a future date in the Next Due column.
    6. If necessary, add Testing Privileges to allow Operators access to devices in this location.

3. Reassign the Device to the new Location.

    1. Select the Devices icon from the Device tab.
    2. Double click on the specific Device in the summary view.
    3. Select the new Location from the Facility / Location dropdown list.
    4. Save the change.

Common Oversights :

Not assigning Testing Privileges to Operators that need access to the device in the new Location. This will keep the operators from being able to use the device.

Not enabling the necessary Device Type Features in the Location configuration record. This will keep operator lists, patient lists, current date/time, and device configurations from being sent to the device.

Not assigning the correct Time Zone in the Location configuration record. This could result in the incorrect date/time being sent to the device.
